The Brothers' take on Wild Wild Bananas
Wild Wild Bananas takes a Money Collect mechanic, drops it into a jungle full of grinning gorillas, and lets the grid expand from a five-row stub into an eight-row beast when the bonus fires. It works.
The base grid is 3-3-4-4-4 — small, deliberately unbalanced, and a bit cramped. The trick is that Golden Money symbols can land anywhere, and when they hit alongside enough banana coins, they expand the grid to 3-3-8-8-8 for that spin. Suddenly the screen is twice as tall and the Money Collect mechanic has a lot more room to play. Banana coins carry values from 1× to 25× the bet; the gold collector gathers them all. There's also a three-tier jackpot on reel 5 — 50×, 100×, or 500× — that lands fairly often and gives the base game a small payout layer the Money Collect format usually skips.
Default RTP is 96.10% (or 96.15% with the Ante Bet on, an unusually small bump). Volatility is rated 4/5 — high but not maximum. Max win is 12,000× your bet, paid out from a fully expanded bonus round when the grid is at 3-3-8-8-8 and the multipliers stack. The bonus triggers on three Scatters and gives 10 free spins with retrigger potential of +5 to +10. Bet range runs from 20¢ to €/$100.
The Brothers have a thing for slots that do something visually mechanical with the grid, and Wild Wild Bananas is one of the better ones. The expansion isn't just a graphical flourish — it actually changes the maths of the spin. The 12,000× cap is decent, the hit cadence in the base game is friendlier than most Money Collect titles, and the jackpot tier on reel 5 means even cold sessions throw you the occasional bone.
What we like
- Grid expansion (3-3-8-8-8) genuinely changes the maths, not just the visuals
- Three-tier jackpot on reel 5 keeps base-game sessions from feeling empty
- 12,000× cap is solid for a 4/5 volatility slot
What we don't
- Base 3-3-4-4-4 grid is cramped and visually awkward
- Ante Bet only nudges RTP from 96.10% to 96.15% — barely worth it
- Lower RTP versions (95.1%, 94.1%) exist; verify your casino's tier
A Money Collect slot that earns its bananas — grid expansion is a real mechanic, not a gimmick.
